The Staff of Grace
Rev. Dr. Steve Holler
Dr. Holler has been serving Grace as pastor since 2004. Born in Columbia SC, he is the son of an Air Force Chaplain and lived in different parts of the world, graduating from a high school in Terrajon, Spain. He graduated from Wofford College and completed his masters from Duke University Seminary before getting his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Drew University. He married Lynn "Sissy" Dennis of Myrtle Beach and they have a daughter, Carolyn Elizabeth Holler (Carrie Beth), who just graduated from Pickens High School.
Steve has served as Air Force Chaplain
from 1985 to 1993, in Indiana, South Korea and Shaw Air Force Base (Sumter SC).
Following his discharge he served churches in Chester, Greenville and
Georgetown, SC before coming to Pickens.
Mrs. Marilyn Gromlovits, Organist/Music Director
Mrs. Marilyn Gromlovits is the organist and music director at Grace. A native of Powdersville, she served as organist of Lee Road United Methodist Church in Greenville for 10 years before coming to Grace. She has also served as organist at Berea Friendship United Methodist, Dunean Methodist, and youth minister at Christ Church Episcopal in Greenville. She's been playing the organ since the age of 15!
Her career is a divisional therapy recruiter (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, language pathology) for a national company.
She is married to Terry Gromlovits.
Mrs. Georgine Barger
Mrs. Georgine Barger is the office secretary at Grace. She and her husband Joe came to Pickens from New Jersey in 1974. She worked in accounting with a CPA and Saco Lowell before coming to Grace in 1991. Mrs. Barger has worked for 4 pastors since 1991. She and her husband have 5 sons. She and her family are members of Mountain View Baptist Church in Six Mile.
