The Purpose of United Methodist Women

The organized unit of the United Methodist Church shall be a community of women who purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Honored UMW Member

Kay Olmstead was presented a special recognition pin for her many years of dedicated service to the Grace UMW. UMW donated $500 in her honor for the installation of an automatic door opener in the office building.

-$2600 was donated for the DVD system in the church bus.

$500 was donated to the purchase of a new ice maker for the church.

$500 was donated to Gleaning House Ministries this summer.

$1000 was set aside to purchase school supplies in order to furnish 50 backpacks for Pickens area school children.

Proceeds from the November 2008 Bazaar yielded over $11,000-all of which went into the bus fund!

Visiting with friends is a vital part of the United Methodist Women's program at Grace.
