The Pastor's Bible Study began on Wednesday, January 18 at 6PM. This enables choir members to attend before their scheduled practice.
Member Ronnie Kowalski is now residing at the Willows in Easley. Her new address is The Willows - Room 414, 105 Willow Place, Easley SC 29640.
Confirmation Class
The pastor plans on starting a confirmation class very soon.Typically this class is for youth that are the age of 12 but is open to anyone older that is interested in learning more about the United Methodist Church. Please contact the church office if you or your youth are interested in making this journey in the spring.
UMYF
Where is the best youth hangout in Pickens? The Grace UMYF meet almost every Sunday night at 6PM in their new suite upstairs. If you're in middle or high school and not part of the action, come join us! Brent and Lori Ellenburg share their time and talents
each week.
2011 UMW Bazaar Results
Grace United Methodist Women set another record for a successful fall bazaar. Over $11,000 was raised in this community outreach project.They have released where the proceeds of the money were distributed.Many thanks go to all members who made this possible!
$1,000 to Gleaning House Ministries
$3,000 for the purchase of a convection oven in the church kitchen
$2,000 for the children's playground
$5,000 for the parsonage kitchen upgrade
New Members
Welcome to the Grace family Myra Spearman! She joined us on January 22. She sings in the choir and substitutes in the bell choir!
Also joining our church family is Dorothy Buckhiester (Jeff Hogan's mother). She has moved so her address now is Sterling House, Brookdale Senior Living, 131 Vickery Drive, Central SC 29630.
Attention Children and Youth!
Asbury Hills Camp and Retreat Center has announced their summer camp schedule. To sign up get your packet of information from the church office.

www.asburyhills.org . Remember that the church pays half of the camper's tuition!
Bell Choir News and Projects
Saturday, March 10 will be the annual Luncheon and Fashion Show at noon. Tickets are limited at $12 each so contact a bell member or the church office to get yours. Chicken salad, penny carrots, cranberry salad, croissants and cheesecake are on the menu.
Saturday, April 28 is the next Bell Choir Yard Sale! When cleaning out those closets, sheds and attics, remember that the bell choir will gladly accept your gently used items!

The Bells of Grace presented a concert of sacred music to the members of Bethel UMC in Iva on Sunday evening, February 19.Brenda and Joe Durham are co-pastors of Bethel. Rev. Charlie Brookshire, former pastor of Bethel, shared the story of two selections, Jesus Loves Me and Beneath The Cross of Jesus.
The youth bells also played selections that evening. Pictured to the right are Jenna, Matthew, Elizabeth, Marion and Taylor.
Marilyn Gromlovits is the director of both groups.
