Friends from the Pickens area line up for smoked turkey or pork barbeque. Board members cooked the meat all day in the backyard. Proceeds from the event were given to the Rhyners to help with medical bills for Dean's continued battle with cancer.

Harry Rivers welcomes everyone who came and introduces Chink Wannamaker who makes presentations to the Rhyners.

Frances 'Chink' Wannamaker read a proclamation in honor of Dean and Nancy, from the board. They also received a plaque in honor of their hard work making sure the center stays open.

Pastor Jimmy Dillard gives the invocation and shares how Dean has been in ministry while in the hospital.

Nancy thanks everyone for all of their support during Dean's illness.

AR Lewis Elementary School principal Kathy Brazinski shares her concerns and support with Dean and Nancy.

Several faculty, staff and families from AR Lewis came to support the Rhyners.

A special cake was made for the occasion.

While Dean visits with friends, Kristen catches up on the latest news with pals. She teaches elementary school music and band in Lexington and made the trip to be with her family on this special night.
