Gleaning House Ministries

Hunger knows no season. The less fortunate of our community deal with the stress of feeding their families each week. Grace Methodist began this local food bank in conjunction with the Pickens Church of God when the local unemployment levels began to rise. Other area churches donate food as well since this has become a community supported project. Gleaning House Ministries not only provides food to families in our town but throughout all of Pickens County.

Volunteers box up food based upon family size.

Children and youth of all ages volunteer their time to organize food for distribution.

The collection boxes are near the church office. Our faithful pantry workers collect it and distribute it to those in need. Monetary donations are also accepted. Food can be purchased in bulk reasonably. Make out your checks to Gleaning House Ministries.

Jerry and Diana Hancock assist Esther Corn, the director of Gleaning House, in collecting food from various donation sources. Contact them if you'd like to find out more about this rewarding ministry!

Gleaning House is located at McDaniel Avenue in Pickens, across the street from the Pickens County DSS. Their phone number is 878-0102.
