The group began the day at the Capitol (no pictures available yet) for a tour then went down the mall to the World War II Memorial.

Veterans on the trip are Bill Ashley, Jack Evans, Al Beelow, Edwin Dickson, RB Gilstrap, Joe Harden, Roland Patterson and Fred Dickson.

The day began at the Iwo Jima Marine Memorial in Arlington

Dale Harward leads the group in a patriotic devotion on the grounds of the memorial, to start the day.

Vet Fed Dickson proudly stands in front of the memorial. Fred was in Iwo Jima for 18 months as a Navy SeeBee during World War II.

And on the way to the Holocaust Museum.....

After a moving visit to the Holocaust Museum and a quick burger at a hidden McDonalds in downtown Arlington .....

The Dicksons, Ashleys, RB Gilstrap and Joe Wolfe prepare for the changing of the guard.
